Do you photograph weddings?
After photographing weddings for 16 years, I have retired this part of my business. It was the most amazing adventure! Talk about feeling grateful! But I felt it was time to pivot. I will always miss them!
How early should I book a session?
I book up approximately 3-4 months in advance. Contact me when you think you are interested so we can set a date!
When can I expect my photos?
My turn-around time for portrait sessions can be anywhere from 2-8 weeks. It all depends on the time of year, with fall being my busiest. I put in as much love, time and care editing them as I do photographing them. 😉
What happens if it rains on our session date?
I watch the weather every day as it affects many aspects of my job. ha! If I am concerned, I will let you know. If it looks like it might rain, I first try and adjust the timing of your session to avoid it. If that is not possible, we can always do the session inside your home or reschedule. I try and leave 1-2 days open each week for reschedules so I can get you back in right away!
What should I wear for my session?
The easiest way to coordinate without everyone looking the exact same is to pick out an outfit for just one person in your group. That will become your inspiration piece. Then pull colors from that outfit for everyone else. (Or use it to match other colors in a palette) Your inspiration piece could also be an accessory like a scarf or earrings or shoes! Using an inspiration piece is the easiest way to coordinate outfits in my opinion, and it’s what I use when I am choosing outfits for my own family photos!
Do you travel?
YES!! I travel all over the United States and all over Michigan. Travel fees may apply, but if you have an idea for a location, let’s make it happen!
Will you bring back up gear?
Yup! I sure do. I bring extra cameras, cards and lots of lenses to every single session. I am insured as well!
