As some of you may know from my instagram account, I am starting a new journey. I just finished with my class and am on my way to becoming a certified Beloved photographer.  There are a few more steps I need to take, but I am well on my way and could not be more thrilled.  Many people ask me what Beloved is.  It’s hard to explain, and I’m sure it means different things to different people.  While taking my class, they define it as “blending the visual aesthetic of photography with the authenticity of photojournalism.”  To me, it is a session about discovery.  It gives couples a chance to reconnect with each other.  The moments are 100% real and raw.  Not rehearsed at all….which I LOVE.  There is no setting up of shots.  We talk….a lot.  I listen.  You listen to each other.  It’s a chance to fall in love again, and it truly is amazing.  You will see more of these sessions pop up in the future on my blog, and if you are interested in a beloved session….please let me know!

While taking my class, I needed to find 2 people who would model for me as I practiced.  I photographed Lauren and Tony’s wedding a few years ago, and they so graciously accepted my invitation.  They are even more in love then when I met them 4 years ago, and it was awesome to watch their energy during this shoot.  Lauren and Tony….Thank you so very much for doing this session with me.  I hope you had as much fun as I did.  Much love to you both.  XO
